Just for Fun

I decided to do an online personality test. Just for fun. Let me know if you guys agree with any of these (and be honest...even if they're not-so-great adjectives). The first few kind of make me sound like a depressed person! Yikes. **Note....it's just for fun** and out of boredom......woo hoo. Thanks to google for the results!

Amber's trait snapshot:
neat freak, organized, worrying, phobic, fears the unknown, irritable, pessimistic, emotionally sensitive, fears chaos, risk averse, fragile, unadventurous, depressed, frequently second guesses self, likes to fit in, does not like to stand out, perfectionist, hard working, does not like to be alone, clingy, dependent, practical, ordinary, cautious, takes precautions, good at saving money, suspicious, heart over mind, busy, altruistic

The only one I don't really agree with is pessimistic. I try to look on the bright side of things! Thanks to Jesus, I am able to do so. Oh yeah, and I'm not sure if I agree with the "does not like to be alone." Because of my introvertness (is that a word?), I SOMETIMES do like being alone... Doesn't everyone need their "personal space" here and there? :P

The Beans I've Been Waiting to Spill!!!!!

At the beginning of October I found out some very exciting news! I was so anxious to be able to tell everyone....but.....I was told I couldn't tell anyone until AFTER Thanksgiving!!! I had to keep my mouth shut for a good month and a half. It was very hard, but I managed to not say anything to ANYONE. It drove me insane. Granted, there were many times during that very long month and a half when I almost "spilled the beans." I wasn't even suppose to find out until then, but Bonnie and I kind of forced it out of her :)
But now....it's after Thanksgiving....and I can tell the world!!!!!!!
SHANNON'S PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have been telling them that we need a baby in the family, and finally, in June I will have a new second cousin :) Yay!!! Congratulations Shannon & Jon! I love you guys!!!
I told them if they have a boy they should name him Milton. Then his name would be Milton Bradley! haha. I don't think they're going to though :P

Oh yeah...he's back for the week :)

**Happy Anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Williamson!**

Happy Turkey Day!

Just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy spending time with family. :) Make the most out of it! And please, don't choke on a wish bone. Thatd be bad news. And always rememer Hugs, NOT drugs!

If you'd like, put something you're thankful for!

I'm thankful for many things, but the one I am going to focus on this Thanksgiving is that I am thankful that my parents AREN'T divorced. (I capitalized Aren't because when we were at Chelsea's house we all went around and said something we're thankful for.....I said "I'm thankful that my parent's aren't divorced ..but they insisted that I said "I'm thankful that my parent's ARE divorced. haha I was wondering why i was getting all of the blank stares!)

Love you all.

Well, I didn't have a very eventful weekend, but I thought I should update once before I head to Hib-town. Friday Bonnie and I were suppose to go to a play, but she wasn't feeling well so we ended up just staying home. I watched "Christmas Vacation." It's a pretty funny movie, but I don't recommend it because well, it doesn't have tons of swear words, but enough to get annoyed. I ended up stayin up until 2... Not really sure how, but I did. Saturday wasn't really a sleeping in day for me. I woke up at 8 (not normal for me...) because I couldn't sleep. I did some homework, got bored with that, so just kind of relaxed until later on Bonnie and I went to a play at the college. "To Kill a Mockingbird." I started to read the book..but I never finished. It was kind of nice knowing the ending by just watching and not having to read. :) The actors here are very talented. I went to the "Hello Dolly" musical they performed last month and it was really good, so I wanted to see this one...which was also pretty good. Plus, every student gets 2 free tickets, so, why not? We then went to Applebee's just for something to do. Afterwards we came home and I started reading the first book of the "Redemption series" by Karen Kingsbury and Gary Smalley that my cousin Shannon recommended & borrowed to me. I'm only on the second chapter, but so far, so good! Yesterday I woke up with the worst head cold ever....I would move my head the slightest bit and it would hurt like crazy. So we went to church (baptism Sunday!), which was really good, as usual...then headed to the clinic. We were there for about an hour and all he told me was to get some Claritin and some nose drops. Hey, it ended up working! After the clinic I felt worse...my stomach was starting to hurt and I thought that I was catching the stomach flu my aunt had last week, but thank goodness it wasn't that. I took a two hour nap and felt MUCH better afterwards. I am feeling much better today too, so that's good. I was hoping I wouldn't be sick for Thanksgiving weekend. I ended up having to miss Bible study that I was really looking forward to because we were going to have a Thanksgiving dinner and play some games, but there was no way I was going to go feeling how I was...plus, I didn't want anyone to catch what I had and be sick for Thanksgiving. And that pretty much sums up my weekend.......
Now I'll be busy working on a Psychology project due Wednesday and writing a paper due tomorrow! Woo hoo. I'll see everyone Wednesday. Love you all.
Have a great Thanksgiving weekend! Enjoy yourselves!!

A Special Request

So I had an emotional breakdown today.......yup. I've been holding my emotions and anger in about a certain problem for far too long. I ask you all to please say a prayer for my aunt today. She has some issues (or should I say AN issue) that needs to be resolved. I would greatly appreciate it. It would mean a lot. And as always, please let me know who I can be praying for. Not just to be returning a favor, but because
I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER!!!
God's been so faithful to me....no doubt He won't be now. No matter how "big" or how "small...." God WANTS to answer our prayers...if we just reach out to him... and just ASK.

Luke 11:9
"ASK and it WILL be given to you, look and you SHALL find, knock and the door WILL be open to you."

No maybes....just assurance that it WILL be done....

Please....Just ASK....!!!!!!!!

The things you learn...

Lately I've just pondering about some of the benefits of living away from home. Granted, there are sad feelings and lonesome feelings every so often, but as I was talking to Mrs. Willy about some things goin on in my life she has helped me think about some of the benefits about being away from home. Including: experiencing new life outside of what you're normally used to, stepping out of your comfort zone to meet new people, and most importantly, it's a great way to get your life on the right track with God. I think when you're away from the life you're so used to, it gives you a better chance to press into God because you have to trust Him more with each step of your journey in life and fully rely on him to help you take the next step. And right now I am content as to who I am. The Lord has been working things out in my life and I realize that I don't need to be focused on guys, or worry about what the future has for me and just trust in the Lord that he knows what's best for me. And everything will work out in his perfect timing! Mrs. Willy also made a good point in her sermon on Sunday that girls don't need to worry about who they're going to marry. God will bring the perfect someone (if it's His will) and until now, we can just continue to grow more into Him and be faithful to Him..and He will provide.
Just thought I'd share some of my thoughts with you all. Thanks for taking the time to read about my life and caring. You all are awesome!!! Glad to have such wonderful Christian friends and spiritual leaders in my life. :)

1 Peter 3:8-9
"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing."

A Little Thanks Before Thanksgiving

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my dad having a heart attack. I'm not going to have some big long story to read. I just wanted to remind everyone that we can be thankful even when it's not Thanksgiving! I know I have had a few posts on that before, so I won't go off on that now. I just wanted to say that I am thankful for my dad. Thankful that the Lord graciously spared his life two years ago today. The ambulance people said he was dead for a couple minutes at my house, but thankfully they were able to get his heart recessitated. He was in a comma overnight, but through many prayers and the Lord's grace he came out of it. He had some short-term memory loss, but I would rather live with that then anything worse! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't deserve your kindness, yet you keep pouring it out on us. I AM GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only One More Day!!!

Tomorrow's take off for me again! My school has Thursday and Friday off for Veteran's Day weekend, so I am heading up to Hib-town to spend the nice long weekend with family and friends. I know it's only been 9 days since I've seen most of you last, but it seems way longer. It is especially torturous knowing you only have a few days before going there again and they seem to go s s s o o s s l l o o w. You get the idea. So I'm really PUMPED to see you all and to hang out again! I could never see "too much" of you guys! I'll try to survive this last day of waiting, but the anticipation is driving me CrAzY! Kind of like Murphy has been this week(what a great transition to a new subject!)....haha.

I've been watching Murphy since last Wednesday. Last night (or this morning) he decided to wake me up at 4AM to let him outside, but little did I know that he didn't need to go outside...he went in my room....on my backpack....and let's just say it wasn't #1. I won't go into details. I was not a happy camper, but I am in a better mood now :) Here are some pictures I took of him while he's been here. I guess you could consider this "Adventues with Murphy #2"

(this pic was taken at his house in Lakeville awhile ago. It's probably the best one I have of him! Thanks to cousin-in-law Jon for taking it!...and for making him sit still and look at the same time. Not quite sure how you did it! :P

See you TOMORROW! :)

It's Beginning to Look a lot like . . . Christmas?!

It's never too early to be thinking about Christmas, right? Well, my aunt's and my Christmas spirit started today! Yes, you're right..it is the beginning of November. We put up the Christmas tree, dug out the decorations, and even started wrapping presents!!...All while listening to Christmas carols! Can't be in a Christmas spirit without the carols! So now the house is all ready to go (except the outside lights) and some presents are all ready to be opened! Now we just have to sit back and have the patience until December 25h :)

Here's the proof!

Birthday Wishes

Hey ya'll!
Today is GRIMEBOMB'S (aka Jason's) birthday! He is now an adult. Woohoo! So make sure to wish him a happy birthday and make sure to go to his house for a birthday celebration tonight!
Hope you have a good and fun day, Jason!
HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY!!!!

In honor of your aggressiveness. I mean...in honor of your love for football.......

I requested google to make a cake for you. They even put the right number on it! How perfect did that work out???

He's Baaaaaaaaack

Murphy's back for another visit! Shannon & Jon decided to get some painting done, so I met them half way to pick him up last night. Although he can get on my nerves sometimes, I do love having him around! He keeps me company throughout the day while my aunt is at work. Sharing my bed takes a little getting used to, but he's pretty small, so it's okay :P He is staying here until Wednesday. I am going to drop him off in Lakeville when I head up to Hib-town for Veteran's Day weekend. So far he's been pretty good. If he refrains from chewing stuff up, running out of the house to chase after cars, and getting into chocolate, ....he should be decent! haha.
Shall be a fun 6 days........

Talk about spoiled. :P Grandma Bonnie decided to give him some leftover/older pork chops since he goes into depression the first couple days he's here and doesn't eat his dog food. I think it's just an act because he knows he'll end up getting fed table food! haha.

Cheers to a Fun Weekend

I am afraid that I am becoming more and more like "the aunt." She's always on the go and is so spontaneous! I think some of that spur-of-the-moment lifestyle is starting to rub off on me, as I experienced on Friday. As I mentioned in the previous post, my one and only class of the day was cancelled. It was 10AM, I was all ready for the day (as I wasn't expecting the cancellation), and I had no plans for the weekend....so.... why not take a trip to Hibbing? I rushed to my house and quickly threw things in my suitcase while my aunt checked the oil and other stuff in my car, then 5 minutes later when I was done packing I stopped by the gas station to fill up and then I hit the road! I arrived in Hibbing a little after three. When I woke up at 8:30 that day, I wasn't expecting to be in Hibbing 6 1/2 hours later! But, it was worth it. I had FUN!

Friday I went to Virginia to look at dresses with Chelsea, Brittany, and Natalie. After that we stopped by the Williamson's to see a couple of the dresses Brit gets to choose from for Prom Alternative. We ended up staying there for awhile visiting w/Mrs. Willy, and then went to the Reini's to watch Ever After.

Saturday I was fortunate enough to sleep in until 11 *note I didn't get to sleep until 2:30 AM.* Then I went with Brooke, Jess, Britt, Mrs. Williamson, and Brock to the NK Spartans playoff football game where we met Mr. & Mrs. Velo, Ruth, Craig, and Brooke S. They ended up winning 41-21! Woohoo! Go Spartans! Reid did an excellent job, as you can read in Sunday's sports section of the Daily Tribune! Definetely a great game played for the memory of his last home game. We then went to the Williamson's to have pizza and to hang out for a little bit. Before heading for home Brooke & I stopped at a gas station to buy some soup for Kari and Mark Pearson because they were sick. We dropped it off to them, and ended up staying for a little bit and chatting. That concluded Saturday.

Sunday was church, of course. Then a lot of us went to McDonalds for lunch. I went home before going to the hayride so I could finish up some homework before the road trip back to Austin (Acutally I stayed in Lakeville that night and left for Austin early in the morning...) I then went to the hayride which was super fun and I'm really glad I stayed for it! I ended up leaving Hib-town at 8:40, and arrived in Lakeville at 12:15AM.

Thanks to everyone who hung out with me! You'll be seeing me quite a bit this month with Veteran's Day weekend and Thanksgiving weekend off from school. I'm not sure how often I'll get to visit Hibbing in the winter, so I'll make up for it now :)

Enjoy the pics.

Brooke, me, Jess, and Ruth. I'm not really sure what I'm doing with my left hand. It looks as if I am going to conduct an orchestra. And it looks like Jess is trying to sneak in a quick nap before the game's over. :P
Brooke, Craig, Jessie, Ruth, myself, Brooke S, Britt, and Brock excited over the Spartans win! Gotta love Brock's face expression!
