It's Wise to Listen to Your Dentist...

What's new with me?
Read on! I got this from a site off of google. This is what Amber Shain has been dealing with. Sorry it might not be the greatest or most pleasing post but hey, you're the one that came to my page!;)

Gum Recession.

Gum recession is the loss of gum tissue from the base of a tooth with exposure of the root surface.

Recession usually occurs in response to overaggressive brushing but can also result from injury or as the natural progression of thin, delicate gum tissue. Most people have some slight recession.

Recession may make the teeth very sensitive to cold, to sweet foods, or to touch. It may be accompanied by bone loss and may make the teeth more vulnerable to root cavities.

Treatment is needed when the gums or teeth are sensitive or when plaque accumulates and is difficult to remove. Treatment involves a grafting procedure, in which soft tissue is removed from the roof of the mouth or from donor tissues and stitched to the area.

I believe mine is the brushing too hard dilema...and now I have pay for it. The dentist and his assistant's told me that I should brush and floss softer and softer but did I listen??? Hmmm...something tells me that when a PROFESSIONAL tells you to do something u should probably obey he/she!

And that's what's new with Amber....
Have a great week!

I'll be praying for a gum resurgence. And you should always listen to dental professionals. Except that 5th out of 5 dentists. He apparently doesn't know what he's talking about.
(the old adage; 4 out of 5 dentists agree)

AMBER! I have something you can watch tonight that sums up the first 3 seasons so you can be "caught up" in a sense to season 4 of Lost!! You'll kind of know what's going on...and if there are random things from other seasons (which there will be) that they dont describe in the re-cap, we can explain it on commercial breaks :D
