Seeing as how nothing too, too exciting has been happening in my life, I decided I'll share some random things. If that makes sense....no, no it doesn't, but here you go! (not to mention i'm copying Brooke's & Jackie's blog...w/out the numbering :D)**I've been spending quite a bit of time w/Bobbie, since she is leaving for Texas again in 5 weeks. :( We've had a couple sleepovers and bonding time, which have been wonderful! Don't want to take the time w/her for granted.**Adelyn turned 1 month (i almost said year...YIKES!...not quite...) on the 4th of July. I loved having her, Jon & Shannon visit for a weekend. She is still a healthy, beautiful baby!! **As always, still thinking lots about the future. Do I want to take a year off from college and work? Do I want to go on a missions trip somewhere? Do I want to move away for college? or just move away just because? ....Of course, I'm praying about it. I guess I would like to know ASAP, but then again I do realize I do need to be patient and wait for God's perfect timing.**My brother is in Texas for 10 days! The exclamation point's not because I'm happy that he's gone, but because I am excited for him. He's on a missions trip to Austin & San Antonio. I guess there's a total of about 20,000 kids there. I am hoping he will get a lot out of the trip. They are mostly helping paint and build houses. I hope they are handling the 100 degree (no exaggeration) weather o.k. Thank the Lord for air conditioning!! He will probably be extremely tan when he gets home, which will make his sister extremely jealous. **Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, I am no longer able to go on the road trip to Colorado I had been anticipating to go on at the end of this month. But that won't stop be from visiting there. It's my goal to travel to each of the 50 states at least once, so I WILL get there. Perhaps next year or something? It's a bummer and a 1/2, but what can you do?
**Work is wonderful. Yes, I will repeat. Work is wonderful. I LOVE IT!!!! This job is incredible and I thank everyone who suggested to me to apply there. I've learned a whole lot more patience and just to love others. I love helping others, and I know this job was definietely for me. My co-workers say they've only heard good things about me from the supervisor, so that's pretty encouraging. I thank the Lord that there was an opening, espeically when they had told me 2 days prior that there were no openings. Definitely the Lord's doing.**I'm starting to like vegetables. This isn't normal. I have been eating salad, brocolli, radishes, cauliflower, tomatoes (sp?), and a bunch of foods I never used to eat. I am such a picky eater that I'm even surprising myself. I guess it really does help to try new foods, rather than just automatically saying you don't (or won't) like it.
**I'm hoping to be able to go to Sioux Falls in early September to visit Stacy & to go to the Lifelight Festival, which if you didn't read my comments in the previous post, is a FREE weekend w/a bunch of good Christian concerts. Really, REALLY hoping to go to that, seeing as the last time I saw Stacy was when Adelyn was born.**If you remember, please keep my mom's 3rd cousin (I hate being proper..) ,I'll just say my cousin Addison, in your prayers. He's having surgery tomorrow. It's a one day in and out thing, but it's still surgery, ya know? He's 1 and would prefer running around and being a normal kid rather than having to be lazy and relax...so I hope for a quick recovery for him.**I'm hoping to go camping at least ONCE before the summer ends. If all else fails, I will resort to setting up a tent in my backyard and having a bonfire. I didn't go camping once last summer and i almost went insane. **And last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to CHRIS POPE tomorrow!! He's turning 18!!!Welcome to adulthood!! I hope your day is wonderful.
