Snow Day
Spring has arrived! Oh wait...it did for only a couple days but now we have gone back to winter this April 7, 2008 day....the snow decided to bless us with it's presence (hopefully only) one last time this "winter." I thought that it was kind of crazy that I used the snow blower for my first time on APRIL 6, 2008. I went to a women's conference--Bridging the Gap--Friday and Saturday in Spring Lake Park. On the way home, I along with the other ladies, were commenting on how great it was that there was barely any snow on the ground! We spoke too soon. Only about an hour after we arrived home on Saturday night the snow started falling. Little did I know that it would continue all the way until this morning. I think we snow blowed the driveway 2 or 3 times yesterday and shoveled a couple times as well. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to update Shainerz Blog as I am sipping my coffee and sitting here since work has been postponed until 12:30!! So maybe snow is a good thing.
The morning of Sunday APRIIL 6th
This morning...
It literally snowed ALL day yesterday. But we managed to get to church yesterday and also had a special evening service. The roads were so bad that a kind gentleman followed me home to make sure my low-riding car wouldn't get stuck!
This weekend has been full of inspirational speakers for me.
Friday morning I was one of the 12 ladies from Hibbing that rode in the van to the Bridging the Gap women's conference. Lisa Bevere was our speaker for the weekend. She is an AMAZING woman of God. She has a great testimony but doesn't let it hold her down. She is one who walks with confidence in God's truth. She was extremely encouraging and I felt like a burden that was on me for some time was lifted after Friday night's service. We declared VICTORY over our lives and God did some amazing, AMAZING, things. I am so thankful I was able to go! It was great getting to spend time with my friends who I don't get to see as often, too. God is wonderful.
I think it's safe to say that we will be best friends forever... love u girls
We all are wearing a charm bracelet from the conference.
Heart-You are a guardian of the heart
Sword-Wield God's Word to elevate life
Boxing Glove-Strike when the enemy draws near!
Lisa Bevere huddled by some of the ladies at the convention...God thank you for sending her to inspire and influence us this weekend.
And that is it from this end...I am debating on whether or not i get a few more hours of sleep before going to work or if I should make myself useful and do something. =)
Enjoy some pictures from the past few weekends...
I was fortunate enough to head to the cities for Easter to spend time with my wonderful relatives and to meet my new beautiful baby cousin, Alyse Abigail!
Cousin cuddling time...
Adelyn is growing up quickly. So much that she is ready to hit the road at age 1 1/2!
The expression on Adelyn's face may not show it, but she really is happy to be a big sister!=)
My amazing aunt and cousins who I love dearly. They are my second family. I practically lived with them when I was growing up. My aunt is my hero for being consistent in bringing me to church and never giving up. My cousins are practically my sisters. They encourage me, give me advice continuously, and are there for me whenever I need them. These ladies in the picture are BLESSINGS to me!!! I cherish every moment I get with them.
The Williamson daughters along with two of their friends and youth leaders came to visit last weekend!! It was such a fun time showing Rachel and Kendra the historic town of Hibbing and it is always wonderful spending time with the Williamson's who mean so much to me!
